Me, Myself & Eye
HEY! My name is Luke and I’m a designer based from Montreal, Quebec. Art and design is my passion. My goal is to create work that is meaningful and conveys a strong message. I like design that strives to be timeless instead of being trendy which I achieve that by exploring and being curious in order to expand my creativity. You could say I am always on the luke-out...
As a designer, we are always luke-ing at our screens. In order to stay sane, here are the things [eye] like to do on my free time.

Chupa Chupas Ad Campaign
Mandate
Chupa Chups is a Spanish brand that produces a variety of sweets and confectionery. As a brand, they are awesome and welcoming, but for their products, they lacked recognition with all the competition. The task my team and I had to accomplish was to create an advertising campaign in order to reshape and reignite their marketing strategies.
Ideation
Forever Fun! That is Chupa Chups’ slogan. How to create fun yet timeless advertisements to be eye catching for anyone at any age? How can something be simple yet straight to the point? The struggle was real. Taking into consideration the brand’s values, drawbacks, my team and I were able to find a consumer journey that suited the brand and it helped us tremendously to generate fun and funny ideas.
Solution
*scribble scribble scribble* Sketching, more sketching, brainstorming, wait a second, more sketching too. The amount of sketches and ideation my team and I produced, holy cow it was insane. Fortunately, it helped us to expand our minds and we were able to have many options. So going back to the brand’s core values which are fun, variety and accessibility, we came to a final solution: tagline; packed with flavor and the concept; half lollipop with a half fruit that is associated with the flavor. As the whole campaign was coming to an end, the advertisements had a strong correlation to Chupa Chups at its core, fun and straight to the point, and the visuals can speak for itself: Hi, can you unwrap
me please?
P.s.: Big thanks to my team; Kelsey Brennan and Sherry Chan.
